Snowdrops and other winter/spring bulbs
All the bulbs we supply are cultivated in the woodlands here at Cambo Estate or neighbouring estates. Crowded clumps are dug each year as the flowers are going over and the bulbs are sorted by hand. Mature, flowering bulbs are sold and the thinnings (unflowered bulbs) are replanted in situ or elsewhere on the estate to increase the display and keep the stocks sustainable.
Every year from January to April, you can order “bulbs in the green”. We have available single snowdrops, snowflakes, aconites, wild garlic and specialist varieties from our online shop.
From late August and throughout September and October, you can order “resting” bulbs. We have available single snowdrops, snowflakes and wild garlic from our online shop. These are dormant bulbs, or just beginning to grow. They are supplied “damp packed” and ready for immediate planting.
