Learn how basic botany can help you adapt your garden to climate change.

This workshop will be led by Dr Liz Lakin, an honorary senior lecturer at the University of Dundee and former Academic Lead for the Living Lab at Dundee Botanic Garden.

Learn how plants adapt and how key plant processes such as germination, reproduction and seed production are affected by Fife’s changing climate. We will look at how your own garden can be adapted so please bring an A4 or A3 rough map of your garden which we will work on at the workshop.

There will be a mixture of discussion and activities to ensure you go away inspired and confident to make changes in your own garden.

About our tutor, Dr Liz Lakin: Trained originally as a school biology teacher, Liz continues her teaching and research in biology and environmental science at Dundee University. She has a keen interest in all things to do with plants.
