Heralds of Spring

After the long dark months, nothing gladdens the gardener’s heart quite like these first brave flowers pushing through frozen ground. This collection brings you all three stalwarts of the February garden – frilly double snowdrops, elegant spring snowflakes, and cheerful golden winter aconites. Together they create that magical late winter tapestry that reminds us why we garden. Plant in the green immediately on arrival, grouping them in small clusters of 3s and 5s about 30cm apart under deciduous trees and shrubs. Once settled, they’ll naturalise into proper drifts, multiplying year after year into ever more generous displays. That first morning when you spot them all in flower together – whites and gold against bare earth and moss – makes every grey winter day worth the wait.
