Cambo Gardens – walled garden and more…

(Covid-19) – Cambo Heritage Trust

As everyone else in these unprecedented times we are feeling our way to best support our staff, volunteers, supporters and visitors. In this regard we have closed our visitor centre, cafe and snowdrop dispatch business. For now, our woodland paths remain open, as we wish to support people to get out for a walk – whilst guidance encourages this.

Our events and volunteering programmes have been paused until further notice, but we will reinstate as soon as we deem appropriate as we know the time spent outdoors is incredibly important to our volunteers and their families.
Like all other charities and businesses this will be a financially precarious time for us, and we will support our sector partners in the tourism, charitable and horticultural sectors to ensure a future for us all.

Should you wish to show support for Cambo Heritage Trust at this time – follow the ‘donate’ button on the top bar or alternatively purchase a supporters pass – we would very much appreciate it!

Cambo Gardens History

Cambo Estate lies on the east coast of Fife, 7 miles south of St Andrews. The present day estate, which has been in the Erskine family for over 300 years, dates from the late 18th and early 19th centuries. It is included in ‘An Inventory of Gardens and Designed Landscapes in Scotland’ as an important example of a picturesque, model estate.

The buildings within the landscape include the stables, carriage house, coach house, mausoleum, walled garden, dovecote, lodges and 2 model farms, listed by Historic Environment Scotland.
